To All SJA Parents:
Welcome to our new parents and our returning parents! We are excited to be starting a new school year and ready to start selling SCRIP. To the new parents and a reminder to our "seasoned" parents, SCRIP is a program in which you buy certificates/gift cards to participating stores, and a percentage is given to SJA. For example, if you buy a $10.00 gift card to Starbucks, 7% will be donated back to SJA and you get a $10.00 certificate to spend at Starbucks.
Attached is a list of vendors that participate in SCRIP. When you peruse it, you will notice almost every store around here participates, from Home Depot to Wendy's to Regal movies to Toys-R-Us. It may take some planning ahead on your part to buy the cards first, then go shopping, but the benefit to SJA is tremendous! Especially with the holidays coming.think about buying your Halloween candy at Walgreen's, for example, and 2% will go back to SJA.
To get started, review the list of vendors and choose which ones you would like. The denominations of gift cards are listed next to the store.just fill out the order form for the denominations you wish Turn in the order form to the Main Office, either through your Communication folder, or through your child's folder. You may send in cash or check as payment, or you can deduct from your Family account. We will be placing orders on a weekly basis, so your cards should be back the following week and will come home via the Communication folder or you may wish to pick them up in the Office. Your gift cards will be for the amount you paid for. you buy a $10.00 certificate and you will get
a $10.00 certificate. The percentage comes back to SJA from the store. It is a Win-Win combination for all!!
In addition to SCRIP, we also sell gift cards to Food Lion and Farm Fresh in most denominations up to $100.00. These are available immediately; just come into the office or order via the order form and you can have them immediately for use. There is a great potential to raise money very easily for SJA with little work on your part as parents!
