· Student enrollment for the 2008-2009 school year is 220 students.
· We offer grades Pre-Kindergarten through 8th.
· New 2009-2010 “Little Rays” (3year olds) Pre-School program.
· Total number of faculty and staff averages 47.
· Financial Assistance is available.
· Students attend Mass every Friday.
· Students share their faith, prayers, and special activities with prayer partners.
· We invite our pastor and other guests to our classrooms as guest speakers.
· We have an active Parent Teacher Organization (PTO).
· Our Student Handbook is available online.
· We celebrate our catholic virtues by honoring a Student of the Month for every grade.
· In addition to core curriculum, we offer the following to all grades: Foreign Language, Technology, Art, Music and Physical Education.
· SJA students have continuously scored at or above the 90 percentile on the Terra Nova Tests.
· Over 50% of our graduates have gone on to Bishop Sullivan Catholic High School, several have been accepted or have attended the various Virginia Beach Public School academies.
· We have a Partner in Education program with local businesses.
· We offer the following clubs:
o Writing/Newspaper Club
o Destination Imagination (DI)
o Student Council Association
o Safety Patrol
o Choir (participates in Friday Masses)
