Enrollment Procedures
Thank you for your interest in St. John the Apostle Catholic School. We look forward to welcoming your family into our St. John’s family. We hope the following information will be helpful to complete the application process.
Steps to apply:
Complete all information requests on the application.
Attach copies of:
1. Birth Certificate (birthday cut off is September 30th)
2. Baptismal Certificate
3. Social Security Card
4. Immunization and Physical Record
5. Custody Decree (if applicable)
6. Power of Attorney (if applicable)
7. Church Envelope (if applying for In-Parish Tuition)
Attach originals of:
1. School Entrance Physical Examination Form dated after September 1, 2009
2. $150.00 non refundable registration fee, $ 125.00 for 2nd child, $ 100.00 each additional child
3. Completed, signed Records Release Form (applies to 1st through8th grade)
Note: Only applications received with complete documentation and application fee will be considered for acceptance.
Submit the application for 2009-2010 school years to the school office beginning Sunday, January 25, 2009. Applications are considered in the order of which they are received.
Entrance/Placement Test
Students entering Kindergarten through 8th grade will be expected to take and entrance/placement test. Testing dates have not been determined as of this date; we will notify you as soon as they are available. All testing is conducted in the school. All applications and registration fees must be turned in prior to testing. In addition to the testing all middle school students and parents will interview with the principal.
Notification:
Applicants will receive written notification (or as soon as application process, including testing, is completed) of acceptance or placement on a waiting list.
Available spots will be filled as applications are received throughout the months of May, June, July and August. Many students placed on waiting lists will be accepted as current family situations change through the summer months.
In-Parish Tuition:
- Families moving from out of the area are requested to present a letter from their former parish stating that they were members in good standing.
- Parish membership is confirmed at the beginning of the tuition year for the entire year. No changes will be made for in-parish tuition year.
